Earlier this year, Balmain launched the Classic R Grande in his and hers versions that seem to appear in perfect harmony. Watches that are targeted at couples that are just meant to be together – the brand have produced identical watches. The Classic R Grande collection offers a comprehensive spectrum of designs in two different sizes. Once he or she has found the ideal timepiece, their human soul mate can locate the perfect partner look. There are numerous options to choose from, but Balmain is confident that it knows precisely what Mr. and Mrs. Right have in common.
There are 19 Classic R Grande Gent models, all with a case diameter of 41 mm. Each one makes a unique style statement, while sharing the family’s signature value of elegance. Some pieces underline this with bi-color metal bracelets, or trendy color tones such as chocolate brown, navy blue or a golden shade of bronze.
Others prefer understatement and show off their Swiss watchmaking credo with slender Roman numerals and monochrome metal cases and attachments. Girly time sticks to the design rules on the whole, but bends them beautifully with mother-of-pearl dial options and arabesques floral dial decoration.
The ladies versions has a total of 22 timepieces with 30 mm cases to pick from, a small and forgivable deviation from the otherwise strictly observed gender equality. Keeping him and her on track is an easily legible date display at 6 o’clock on every single model.
A trio of metal finishes – rose and yellow PVD and shiny stainless steel – forms the core of the range for cases and bracelets. Leather straps in a selection of colors complete the fashion-savvy line-up. All Balmain watches are Swiss made. Both the male and female versions feature ETA quartz movements. The watches are made from 316L stainless steel, with multiple choices of dials. The watches are water resistant to 50 meters.
