OHM Series

The Original Historical Movement or OHM Series features original historical movements from the 1950’s and 1960’s that are recovered and tuned in Armand Nicolet’s atelier. These series are produced only in limited editions because the quantity is determined by the amount of original historical movements still available. The brand’s skilled watchmakers manually restore and re-assemble each of these unique pieces. These precious movements are the result of many years of expertise and dedication to the fine art of watch-making. The uniqueness, the beauty, the exceptional technical value along with the historical charm are among the reasons for the extraordinary success of Armand Nicolet’s OHM Series.

Thanks to its slightly smaller case, curved dial and leaf- shaped hands, the L15 is simply the watch you need to highlight the shape of your wrist. These features will spread an halo of elegance and charm from your figure that will be impossible to resist. The observance of the tradition is kept by its finishing, which is the same of the successful LL9 model.

This collection is offered in three classic materials: stainless steel, gold and a combination of the two. The color of the dial varies from silver to black as also the grey shade of the stainless steel version. The grey dial with pink indexes is available on the two-toned version and also on the rose gold model that comes with silver dial as well. The limited amount of watches produced relates to the quantity of original components from 1967 still available in the Armand Nicolet factory. The L15 collection has been produced in a limited run of 450 pieces of which 400 pcs are in stainless steel and two-toned while 50 pcs are in rose gold.

The story of Armand Nicolet begins around 1875 in Tramelan, Switzerland, a little town in the Bernese Jura. Armand Nicolet, son of a watchmaker, after a brilliant apprenticeship set up his Atelier d’Horlogerie. When the current management took over the company more than two decades ago, in the warehouse of the factory there were still lots of original historical movements, along with the specific tools needed to work on and decorate them magnificently. The new management saw the huge potential in availing this treasure and decided to rescue, maintain and continuously develop the company’s know-how by working on these old movements including the OHM Series and bringing them back to life.
