As befits such a creation, all its embellishments meet the most stringent requirements of fine watchmaking, illustrated by the black lacquered dial with its delicate Clous de Paris guilloche decoration. It takes 100 craftsmen over 18,000 hours to make one such piece of art and the company plans to produce 12 annually. One more minor detail, this high-mech humidor costs $1 million.
Fit For An Emperor
January 13, 2016
Swiss manufacturer Imperiali Genève’s Emperado cigar chest is a luxurious artifact that contains exceptional riches and accessories that you would normally find in a collector’s watch. At its centre, the locking mechanism houses a Swiss-made watch integrating a grande complication – a manually wound tourbillon entirely custom-designed and entirely hand-made by a master watchmaker in the Swiss Jura.
