Drawing on his mastery of both jewellery and watchmaking, Swiss setter and goldsmith Andreas Altmann thrives on the challenge of creating unique and beautifully unusual timepieces. Niura is an ode to sensual femininity and is the brand Giberg’s first timepiece.
The watch is powered by a Giberg Flying Tourbillon ‘Trilevis 6118’ Manufacture Caliber, made in-house and designed to ensure a power reserve of 72 hours. A fine structure, entirely set with diamonds, links the edges of the case to the lizard leather strap, on which a diamond-studded drop balances delicately.
Its original design and highly technical expertise make this a unique piece of time-keeping jewellery. The manual-winding mechanical movement has a double-barrel Giberg Flying Tourbillon and is enclosed in a 5N red gold case measuring 35 mm in diameter while the entire structure measures 47×97 mm. the watch has a ruby cabochon crown and second decorative crown positioned symmetrically while the case is encrusted with 2,156 diamonds (8.7 cts) and 76 rubies.
The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters and the watch dial is glare-free glass while the case back is fitted with sapphire. The watch strap is garnet-colored lizard leather with a red pin buckle encrusted with 68 diamonds.
