DIGITAL COACHING

The new Apple Watch Nike+ GPS and Apple Watch Nike+ GPS + Cellular versions, announced on September 12, will utilize the updated Nike Run Club app to evolve the digital and physical running experience. The updates continue the combined strengths of Apple Watch Nike+ and NRC, including the app’s digital coaching and motivation features for runners of all levels, while enhancing functionality and community connections.

Get motivation directly from Nike’s elite coaches and athletes (who offer training tips), as well as pep talks from entertainers such as Kevin Hart. The workouts are designed to help runners improve strength, speed and endurance. Additionally, intervals are automatically marked along the way.

Champion runner Mo Farah is one of the Nike elite athletes who shares his expert training tips through the app. Support your Nike friends by sharing words of encouragement (a “Cheers”) right to their Apple Watch Nike+ while they’re out on a run. For example, if your friend hits the trail, you’ll be notified and can choose to send a “you’re flying!” or hit ’em with a fist bump.

Details of your last five runs will now be stored on the Apple Watch Nike+. Along with elevation data reporting. How many feet of climbing did you bag on your route? Now you’ll know thanks to the Series 3 Apple Watch’s ability to track your elevation gain.

In addition to these updates, the latest iteration of the Apple Watch Nike+ also has a new Nike Sport Loop woven band (available in an exclusive Pure Platinum/Black launch colors) that is highly stable on the wrist and super-easy to adjust. Added bonus: Its washable. The Nike Apple Watch Cellular + GPS ($399) and Apple Watch Nike+ GPS ($329) and Sport Loops and Sport Bands will be available from October 5 at www.apple.com, www.nike.com and Apple and Nike retail stores.
