Refined Complicated Movement

Artya presents an exceptional masterpiece entirely hand made from the case which is designed by Yvan Arpa and engraved by Bram Ramon to the dial, hand crafted in mother-of-pearl in the purest Ott-Chill’s thousand-year-old tradition and the movement, Artya’s own manufacture tourbillon. This exceptional work of art is a real tribute to the highest combined savoir-faire of “métiers d’art” and refined complicated movement.

The result is a totally outstanding, fascinating and never seen before Artwork. One more surprise from Artya where creativity, avant-garde concept and innovation is set at a level never reached before. This one-of-a-kind creation is powered by a mechanical movement exclusive to Artya, while revealing the fascinating rotations of its flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

The mechanical hand-wound, flying tourbillon exclusive to Artya, features 19 jewels, while circular-grained bridges adorned with Côtes de Genève and a 100-hour power reserve. The watch functions include hours, minutes, seconds on the flying tourbillon. The watch case is made from black treated 316L steel. Hand engraved 24K Gold bezel with “Neo-Renaissance ornamental style” is fashioned by Master-engraver Bram Ramon and measures 44 mm in diameter. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the watch front and back. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters. The dial of the watch is adorned with an arabesque skull entirely manually sawn in mother-of-pearl with the 60-second flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The watch strap is black crocodile leather with pin buckle.

The company is 100% independent, with a highly responsive team of fewer than ten people. Artya has its own manufacture, something very few Swiss Brands have. The Brand and its manufacture are based in central Geneva. Its indefinable, innovative and trendsetting collections can be divided into six different families, housed in seven different watch cases, ranging from 38 mm up to 47 mm. Artya’s collections all go by the “Son of” brand name: Son of Sound, Son of a Gun, Son of Earth, Son of Gears, Son of Arts and Son of Love.

These families allow the brand to have an open, living playground, in which he can create many variations every year, using some very innovative concepts and unconventional raw materials – such as butterfly wings (under the control of the authorities), stones, real bullets, real (shredded) euros, dinosaur dung, non-circular mechanical gears, cases struck by real lightning, steel drenched in Arpa blood or in motor oil, to name but a few.
