Porsche Design – one of the leading luxury brands renowned for making prestigious accessories for men produced a classic watch in partnership with Swiss watchmaker Eterna – the Worldtimer P’6750. This timepiece displays time in two different time zones with an integrated button making the world time settings easy to change. Simple cylindrical forms shape the watch case which is made in titanium with a black PVD coating.
The three hands in the center of the watch, display the time in the time zone in which the wearer currently finds himself. By means of discs rotating behind the dial, the movement additionally displays, via two dial apertures, a reference location and the present time in the corresponding time zone. The second time zone runs in synchrony with the main watch time.
Self-explanatory abbreviations are used to denote the reference cities. These three-letter codes are explained by an engraving on the back of the watch case. The crown at the four o’clock position is used to adjust the minutes and the hour hand in the center. In addition, this crown can be used to wind the watch.
The guilloche pattern of the crowns is not provided for aesthetic reasons alone: the decorative structure makes for a better grip on the crown. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and the diameter measures 45 mm. The typography, styling and colors of the dials emphasize the functional character of the watch.
