Since as early as the 1950s and 1960s, Squale has been producing its own range of professional dive watches, trusted with one of the most vital tasks when under water: keeping time accurately and reliably. The Squale 1521 50 ATM Professional watch is the classic Squale dive watch in its most elegant form.
The design is by Charles von Büren, Squale’s founder, whose priority was to create a great-looking, yet robust timepiece. A real diving watch that offers 500 meters of water resistance in a compact, 42mm-wide and 13mm-thick package for ultimate comfort in wear ability.
Neat details include how the shape of the case protects the recessed crown at the 4:30 position, or how the orange minute hand makes reading the minutes super intuitive. The Squale 1521 50 ATM Professional will be available with three different finishes of the case: high-gloss polished steel, sandblasted steel, or matte PVD. There is also a wide range of lacquered dial colors available.
The watch features an ETA Swiss 2824-2 automatic movement with 38-40 hours of power reserve. Functions include and the case is made from 316L stainless steel and measures 42mm wide, 13mm thick with a 20mm lug width and a screw-down case-back and crown.
The unidirectional bezel features 60 clicks and the watch is covered with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It is water-resistant to 500 meters and has a lacquered dial with SuperLuminova markers. The watch is fitted with a standard high-quality Italian 100% natural rubber diving strap with subtle vanilla scent and an optional: easy-to-size Milanese bracelet.
